Q: What would I use the iBend for?
A: The idea originated to alleviate having to hold or find a reliable way to prop up the iPhone to watch a movie or video on a plane. Since then we have tested the iBend over 69,000 miles including on trains where a personal table space is provided.
Q: What versions of the iPod touch and iPhone will the iBend work with?
A: You'll be happy to know that the iBend works with all versions of the iPod touch and iPhone.
Q: Will the iBend work with my iPhone or iPod touch and its case?
A: You should be able to store your iBend behind any case. While we haven't tested using it with all cases we can tell you what types of cases it will work with. Although, if the case you have now seems too big, simply store your iBend behind it and remove the case to watch some videos or read an eBook. These silicone cases should work with your iBend.
Q: What is the iBend made of and where is it made?
A: The iBend is made of a thin plastic, about the thickness of two and half sheets of paper, that is designed to be very lightweight but also very strong and durable. Right now it's 100% new material but we are looking into recycled options. The plastic is made in the Midwest in the USA and all the manufacturing and packaging takes place in California making the iBend... Made In The USA.
Q: How thick is the iBend and how much does it weigh?
A: The iBend is only 10 thousandths of an inch thick which is about the same thickness and two and a half sheets of paper, or about 250 microns if you prefer the metric system, making it the thinnest media player stand in the world. It also weighs in at less than 1 gram.
Q: How durable is the iBend?
A: The iBend is extremely durable. While we aren't saying you can't cut it in half with a nice pair of scissors, we are saying that you'd be hard pressed to tear it in half with your hands. Oh, and of course it's waterproof in case you were wondering that too.
Q: How stable is the iBend?
A: The iBend is surprisingly stable. The introduction video on the homepage shows it spinning. You may not be able to spin it on every surface it's on but it will be able to withstand most of the airplane turbulence you'll experience without slipping or falling over. No more worries about having your phone slide off your stand at the pivotal point in your movie!
Q: Does the iBend support the iPhone in its vertical, portrait view position?
A: No, the iBend is intended to only be used with the iPhone or iPod touch in the landscape position which we find optimal for viewing videos, apps, reading the news, ...
